I ordered the Polaris 1600 and needed it in time for work men to start. There was a slight delay on the initial delivery and I started to read the reviews panicking about the company. I was also put through to a call centre which unnerved anyway... Someone kept in touch with me and offered reassurance and it did arrive in time despite some issues that were had. We approached Danny for a quote to replace the existing fireplace and fire in our new home purely because he was local to our house, but we did not know anyone who had employed his services before so for us it was a bit of a gamble! Danny has turned out to be a "real find" and has since carried out several other electrical jobs for us, and we have already recommended him to the buyers of our old property who we know have also placed an order. Nothing has been too much trouble to date and he does exactly as he promises to do in a very clean and tidy fashion. Well done Danny and team!

When I ordered I was told by Danny it would take several weeks due to covid .Think reviews have been unfair in all honesty unless you are in the retail business you have no idea of the problems covid has thrown up. Fire arrived looks fab and fitted and all package taken away .Thankyou Danny .We all have to learn to be patient during these unprecedented times .

To be perfectly honest we shopped around locally looking for the best deals, By The Fire wasnt the cheapest but their intial customer service in the showroom was fantastic, really helped to narrow down the best suited fire for our home and we also had the fire and surround installed, over the moon with the outcome!!!

Quality products and workmanship.Friendly and skilful staff and suppliers. Our fireplace installation was delayed by the pandemic, but was rescheduled and completed on time and on budget. When we moved South I had an idea in my head of a specific design for a fireplace/room divider...... after googling in the local area for assistance we visited the shop. John was very helpful and passed our details and our very vague idea to Danny who in turn came to visit us to try to understand our vision. Oh what patience he has....the contact and updates on the build of the design was amazing. The end result is stunning, we are so happy. He also did our lighting in the dinning area and helped in advising what would look good. Danny has put me in contact with other people who have done jobs around our place and I would have not hesitation in recommending them to others. Great service and fabulous team.

The engineers that visited me during the survey answered any questions I had, I found them very knowledgable and helpful when deciding what fire would be suitable for my property. I was kindly offered 10% off as the fitting of the fire I wanted would be some time awaiting the new stock. Overall a very pleasant experience, the staff kept me updated on my order. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Since I heard By The Fire had been under new ownership I decided to pop along with my mum to look at some fires. I had previously visited but didn't get much of a feel for the place. I must say I was pleasantly supprised to see the smile that greeted me and my elderly mother when reaching the top of the stairs and the lady kindly offered my mother a seat whilst she put the fires on for us. She answered all of our questions with good knowledge and honesty (you don't often get that with sales people) we bought an electric fire with a guarantee of 3 years and left more than happy. We will be recomending to friends and family. What lovely people and great service!

I bought a fire a year ago from here but recently I’ve had an issue, I was a bit nervous as I knew it had been taken over by new owners and didn’t think they would be able to help me fix it.
